Ethical Executive Leadership
Many decisions made in a business are characterised as ‘operational decisions’ or ‘financial decisions’ or some other label.
Despite the best of intentions, over time there can be ‘Ethical Fading’ where decisions made erode from the original ethical intent and often are in conflict with the stated values of the organisation. We believe by firstly creating an awareness of how this happens, secondly developing a systematic ‘intentional mechanism’ to test relevant decisions against stated business values, thirdly using an agreed ethical framework and finally in the context of the business’ ‘social licence to operate,’ a business can more consistently hold itself accountable against expected ethical standards.
