Business Culture Framework Development
We believe that businesses need to create a cultural framework that allows for a diverse group of individuals to feel that they belong. Great businesses don’t have teams; they have Tribes. Within the Tribe there is scope for both team and individual contribution. The cultural framework allows space to respectfully challenge, to create value, to be valued, to grow professionally and personally.
Too many businesses have created motherhood ‘Values Statements’ that create a framework of compliance rather than a truly unique culture, with freedom to be both an individual and a team player. In reality complex businesses often have multiple sub cultures that recognise unique areas of business’ need broad cultural framework will embrace these needs while maintaining a core identity of the Tribe. Effective Tribes have not only contemplated what they stand for and who they are, they have also clearly thought about and articulated who and what they are not.
Our Culture Framework Building process seeks to create a framework for a business that will be a unique point of difference, where the best talent will be attracted and retained. But beware. It is not a process for the faint hearted!
“The culture of any organisation is shaped by the worst behaviour the leader is willing to tolerate.” (Gruenter and Whitaker).
We believe that by default, a company culture should not be an everyone culture. Beige may be a great background colour, but it should not be used as a descriptor for your business culture.

The approach:
Step one: Establish the current culture foundation through a survey, a series of semi structured interviews and a SWOT analysis.
Step two: Workshop - Envision the future state workshop articulating what you value and what you do not value. Articulate the performance ethos, establish the cultural context, and finally frame the human contribution and recognition.
Step three: Communicate, celebrate and embed future state into your organisation.
Step four: Define consequences and action plans as it is highly likely that not all of your current team will thrive in your new culture.
Each of these programs is individually tailored to meet the needs of your business.
